Bien Basar has unfortunately closed after many wonderful years in Kjøttbasaren. We would like to thank everyone who has visited us and look forward to the opening of a new concept at Litteraturhuset.

About Us

Welcome to Bergen's grand parlour

Bien Basar is located in the Kjøttbasar building and serves classic dishes using local ingredients. Our vision is to present the best of Western Norwegian ingredients in a classic way, and you can sit at individual tables or eat in the large bar around the kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work.

The atmosphere in the historical surroundings evokes associations with continental restaurants. The feeling of this grand room and the arches in the ceiling create a unique ambience.
